Neighboring Communities
Just seventeen minutes north of WedgeWoods is the small farm community of Pemberton, which boasts winter and summer sports, a regional airport, and two golf courses. Making its home alongside Pemberton is the Lilwat Band of Canadas First Nations. To the south, Squamish, the outdoor recreation capital of Canada annually hosts the Squamish Days Loggers Sports Festival as well as some of the best climbing, kite-boarding, and windsurfing on earth.
Meanwhile, just two hours south of WedgeWoods is Vancouver, the largest and most diverse city in British Columbia. As a result of the 2010 Olympics WedgeWoods and Whistler are now connected to Vancouver by a wider, faster Sea-to-Sky highway, and state of the art fiber-optic internet, phone, and cable communication infrastructure.
